Quartz Countertops

A quartz countertop is also known as "engineered stone". It is a man-made product created by combining 93% quartz with resin and pigments in a high pressure process that binds it permanently. This man-made countertop has similar properties to granite, such as: heat, scratch and chemical resistance. It is also free of fissures and cracks, and impervious to water, moisture, or bacteria. We feel it's the most durable, highest grade product, however it will show seams, sinks will have to be drop-in or undermount, and the cost is double that of solid surface and granite.

Some common brands include:

DuPont™ Zodiaq® quartz countertop surfaces are composed of advanced composite material made with pure quartz crystals. And because quartz is one of nature’s strongest materials, quartz countertops made with DuPont™ Zodiaq® quartz surfaces are also incredibly durable and resist both heat and scratches.

Comprised of 93% natural quartz, CaesarStone Quartz Surfaces and Countertops offer the ultimate combination of form and function, allowing for a more diverse, durable, and practical countertop surfacing material than either granite or marble. With its stain, scratch, and heat-resistant properties, CaesarStone is the ideal choice for care-free countertops.
